What.cd and Waffles.fm for music, application, books, audio books. Mainly music, ~600,000 albums uploaded so far at What.cd, highly recommended.
BitGamer/UndergroundGamer for games
PassThePopcorn.org for movies
That should cover anything you should need. |

There's always a chance you're going to get something every now and then using torrents. Most of the time, Antivirus programs detect keygens as viruses but 98% of the time the keygen really isn't a virus. Since www.demonoid.com has been down, I've been using www.isohunt.com and www.thepiratebay.org and haven't any problems out of either one. I've use those two sites for around 3 years on and off. _________________ Don't buy a computer, BUILD IT YOURSELF! |

As a matter of fact, I downloaded 5 cds today from www.isohunt.com and they work fine. Virus free! Just choose the files that have positive comments and suggestions. You'll see what I mean. _________________ Don't buy a computer, BUILD IT YOURSELF! |

I've used demonoid, mininova, isohunt, and several others. Couldn't find what I wanted since demonoid is down, so i was looking for something better. Heard a lot of bad stuff about thepiratebay from several friends. _________________

Also, public trackers = bad. |

Actually cracks and keygens are prime vectors for rootkits these days. most are clean from the rls group, and are then later infected.
all the more reason to use keygens inside a virtual machine. |

you *should* be all right. are you running decent anti-virus? I would watch for slow loading times, check for strange internet connections that are'nt tied to anything your doing.
for the most part, although i cant vouch for every torrent site, a lot of the infected keygens tend to come from keygen sites themselves, as opposed to the actual rls'. |

Or you could download all your content via private trackers and not worry about that. :p |

So far I have been lucky enough to not fuck my computer up. The only time I've had a problem was about 7 or 8 years back when I used bearshare for the first time and my dad got royaly pissed, really not sure exactly how it happened but i guess the computer was completely unusable. _________________

We need to figure out how to get ahold of those guys from demonoid.com and get them to pull their head out of their ass or whatever else they got up in someone else's ass and tell them to hurry the fuck up and get www.demonid.com back up. This shit is pissing me off. Most of the torrent site now have turned retarded and want you to pay for all that shit when it used to be free like isohunt and demonoid. _________________ Don't buy a computer, BUILD IT YOURSELF! |
