SO I need help

While playing scoutknifez with dough and skidgy they told me about the laser skin packs that were on the website, I got interested and downloaded them and now all my guns are purple with a huge purple circle in the middle of my screen, I unzipped the files to my cstrike folder and that didnt work so I tried putting them all in manually and it still didnt work, I cant figure out how to restore my old models or fix the new ones, $5.00 paypal to the first person to help me get the skins working.

Well to restore original models just delete the weapons folder from "materials/models/weapons , models/weapons, scripts/weapons and sound/weapons.

As for installing them, sounds like you missed a file. Did you unzip the files with Winrar or something?

You should have folders as follows

In cstrike you will need these folders, usually. materials, models, sound and scripts.

In the download after you unzip the file the folders should be identical to what folders are in your computer "cstrike". If the folders are not on your PC just make a new one.

Go through each folder in the unzipped download and copy & paste to folders in your pc.

cstrike/materials/models/weapons/v_models & w_models
cstrike/models/weapons/
cstrike/sound/weapons/
cstrike/scripts/weapons/
The v_models is what you see on your screen when holding the gun, the w_models is what they call world models, which is what you see when looking at a gun someone else is holding or on the ground.

After each "weapons" directory listed above is where the files from the download should be. If those weapons folders are not there just create a folder called weapons.

still doesnt work man, if i did a system restore would it reset everything? i have all my guns modded its not like im a newb i know how to change the models this is just screwing up for some reason its like i have no v/w models at all they are all purple/black no matter what i do.

Did you restart cs at all? If you installed them with the game running that will happen.

If not then delete the ones you just installed and get different ones. I have downloaded some before and not everything was there. Not saying this is the case but maybe it got corrupted or something.

that happened with the world models for awp of twizts laser pack for me. since its only the world model i leave it alone cause now i can telll who has an awp Twisted Evil

no other purple and black guns in the game lol

None of the world models in that pack work at all. Don't install anything in materials/models/weapons/w_models. Also do not install anything in models/weapons that stats with w_.
