I think I failed to mention that this includes weapon skins as well... asskisser, lol.

Which brings me to mention that most if not all my skins work, except the p228. I have tried 3 different skins, all with the same results. The reload sounds work, BUT THE FIRING SOUND DOES NOT. I have tried defaulting the skin, but now the firing sound is completely missing. This is a big bugger up my ass since we use the p228 for nade kills, and i cant hear a damn thing when someone is shooting me. I will reinstall steam only as a last resort. Any suggestions?

once downloaded skins, how do you get them to work, do i just put them in the skins folder?

go to c:program files\steam\steamapps\yourname\counterstrike\cstrike

you will see folders named materials, models, scripts and sound. you may have to create a scripts folder.

you will also need to download winrar or something similar to extract the rar files. make a folder on your desktop and name it skins or something. inside that one i would create more folders for the name of each gun you want to skin.

Once you extract the files you will see they have folders named materials, models, scripts and sound. in each one of those you need to copy the files from them to your designated folders in cstrike.

Copy the files from the extracted folder "materials" and paste them in the cstrike\materials\....and so on with the remaining ones.
