Currently we have 4 servers. We have the 20 slot GG server, which will remain at 20 slots. We have the 20 slot ZE server which I would like to possibly reduce to 10 slots. We have the 10 slot former RPG DM server, which will be shutting down at the end of the month. Finally, we have my 10 slot Test Server, which will remain at 10 slots.

I suggest that due to a lack of a strong population, that we reduce the ZE server to 10 slots. While I personally do not really enjoy this mod, I know that a number of you do, therefore I will not be closing it at the present time.

In addition to reducing the ZE server to 10 slots, I suggest we open another 10 slot server and run BA maps on it. This means we would have a Jail Break server as well.

The reason I opened the ZE server, despite my lack of interest was to make those of you that enjoy playing it happy. This is also the reason I am considering opening a BA server as well. Besides GG these are the two mods I see most of our clan members currently playing.

Keep in mind that if I persist in doing this I need the clan, and especially the admins, to make a presense on these two servers, as well as our main server. I know it sucks to connect and sit there by yourself for a while, or to play against bots, but that is what will attract players. If I am going to set up yet another entire server that I probably will barely ever play on, I am asking that those of you that have an interest in these servers can be as supportive as possible in bringing in new players.

As most of you have noticed population has dropped overall across the board with Counter-Strike: Source. Too many new games have come out, and too many people have lost interest. We need to make a more conscious effort to attract the player base that we need. I will do this by setting up and maintaining the servers, and by continuing to develop my ongoing version of the GG script, and I need everyone else to be present on the servers whenever possible.

Opting for closing ze server. Just not really a fan.

Trying to play on gg as much as time allows, but admittedly its hard to balance play time with all the other nonsense that is called life approaching 30.

I have not played JailBreak since it's Half-life days, but was never a huge fan of it. Of course, with my limited time avail to play, I know my opinion probably shouldn't/doesn't hold much sway, but those are my thoughts.

ON a happy note, the wife has decided its time to get a new tv, looking at 40" aquos or same size and practically same spec'd samsung lcd. Both are just passing the $700 mark. Not bad split between 2.

Cant wait to put that dvi-->hdmi cable to good use, and make a mess of the gungame noobs on the big screen Very Happy

personally, i dont think we have enough people to open a jail break.
zm gets people into the serv as soon as we are 3-4 or more wich is a good thing, but ive rarely seen over 10 and ive seen it at 12 once or twice

I'm definitely not a fan of Jailbreak, but if other people want to play it, I would pop in every now and again to admin it.

I really like the Zombie server, though I havent really seen more than about 10 people in there at a time.
I don't know how much paperwork it is to increase/decrease slots for the server, but for the time being you could probably decrease the slots.

There are ZE servers that max out 40 slot servers regularly, so I dont see why we should be able to fill up 20 once we get regulars to join. But until then, 10 should work fine.

Regarding the GG server..... Dont even think about it!

I am a fan of both Ze and JailBreak. And to run both we need a stable population.

As Corky and Hitman have said we have not seen that many people on the Ze server, so i think we hsould reduce it.

As for the Jailbreak the only people that might play on it might be me, hitman, and King j. I dont think that we would attract that many people on to it. We would also need admins that are willing to stay in the server and help out with Free killers, mic spammers, and free shoters.

I htink we should reduce the Ze server, and for the jailbreak well idk...

i love ze i would reduce it tho atleast for now till we could get more people on it on a regular basis and for jail break i do enjoy it depending on the server and how there admins are cause some are dicks but i would deffinately play it id say open one as a test for alittle while and see how it goes from there

not sure what a BA server is, but reduction of the ZE server sounds like the way to go.

Yeah i wouldnt mind a jail server... i would def. play there more often. But why must all of our servers have mods ? Sad

I suggest just a plan dust2 or office server. But i think we should def. bring down the ZE server to 10 slots and bring in a jail server. Still cant go wrong with a dust2 server Smile

I am reducing the ZE server to 10 slots for the time being. If the people that play Zombie Escape manage to start attracting enough players, then I will happily expand the slots once again.

I am also going to setup a 10 slot BA server. I've only played Jail Break a couple times myself, and it seems to be a strange mod, however since some of you like it I want to give it a try. Maybe I will even get interested in it, who knows. Slots will be expanded if needed on this server as well.

Please keep in mind that in order for either of these servers to attract a population, I need our clan members and our admins to participate when possible. Please try to be active on the servers so that we can attract a population, let me know of any suggestions or bugs, and feel free to make map suggestions.

id seriously say not to do a BA if u havent aleready. All BA servers and owned by an all exclusive BA clan. We wouldnt have enough clan people to make sure it goes well and i dont think 10 is enough xD

I am going to try it out anyway. If it doesn't work out I can always use the server for something else. Also BA technically stands for Battle Arena, which is pretty much just a small map where everyone kills each other. I have no idea why when people started making Jail Break maps they didn't give them a new prefix, because BA maps have been around forever.
