As of today I have decide to leave legion. I see no point in what most of the clan does. Half of the clan is online, half of them play css, and a lot less play on legion. The only time peole play is when they see that server is some what full or they just want to fuck around.Twizted has done so much for the server that he needs the support of his clan, which he is not getting enough of. Everyone would rather play on another server with the same mod or something close to it. The only people that try and get it populated are Twiz, Corky, Gweedo, Lucy, Jedi, and a few others. Me leaving has nothing to do with Twiz or the server, it mostly because it looks like no one in the clan exept for a few people actually give a shit about what happens to the clan. I am not going to play on the server until twiz comes back and takes away my admin. And of course this was my third time joining the clan which means I am can't come back. Either way I know most of you are going to be happy with me leaving. To those who care about what happens to the clan I wish you the best of luck, and Twiztid thanks for all things you did for the server and I hope to see you around. Sorry to have to leave with out talking to you also.

P.S: I know some of you are actually dealing with stuff in real life. This has nothing to do with those people.

This is not directed at you Cancer, just in general my $0.2 for everyone over all, to try and give some hopefully useful advice.

Good luck in whatever you do or wherever you decide to play.

The first month or so of Legion, Twiz, Fury and myself had to sit in an empty Legion server either alone or with bots for HOURS ON END day after day and try to chat up every person who joined to get them to stay. After a couple weeks, it was us plus the new recruits and some old friends waiting in a nearly empty server trying to get people to play. If the server stays empty most of the time it's up to the clan to get in the server, and run some bots, be friendly and try to attract people. If clan members are in other servers, msg them and tell them to come help you get it populated. If they refuse then maybe they dont want to be here afterall.

After about a week we saw our first return visitors. Within a month the server was steadily half full between new clan members, old friends, new comers and friends of new comers. After 2 or 3 months not only was the GG completely full the majority of the time (I mean 24/24 full), but so was our Zombie server.

It takes time, and willing members. it's so confusing to me now... back when we started none of our members cared how many was in the server. Everyone who was in the clan were friends. we just wanted to play with each other, if other people joined then it was a bonus, and that's the way it should be. You should join this clan to play with friends, not just so you can have a tag next to your name like everyone else.

It's killing me that I can't play. I'd be glad to sit in an empty legion server all over again to get people playing there.

see rhysk the difference is the members, back then all of our members were older, mature. when u look back what 2-3 years ago, it was all legion guys on all day filling the server and we had quite a few regulars but are support came from our legion members. and it seems these days the people just join for the tag and go else where. legion was my first clan in source and was a good time, its just sad to see if die like this.
and cancer i understand this was ur 3rd time, but at least you were a good member who was active and you at least tried to populate the server.

I understand what your saying Rhysk, But doughh is more on the spot of why im leaving. People join the clan just to have the tag not to play on our servers. After they get in i see them once every week or so. It's just annoying now a days that not that many people actually show that they care for this clan.

Yeah, I agree. Most people just want a tag to show off, rather than a clan to be apart of. The fact that CSS is dieing off as it is, means that it hurts a clan worse now then it used to.

edit: also that first post sounded bad. We obviously wernt the only 3 waiting in an empty server. What I should of said, was as new members joined and old friends came over for another server we played on, they gladly hung around on a near or half empty server with us, showing some pride for their clan right off the bat.

Sorry to see you leave. I can understand your feelings about seeing people on that aren't on the Legion server, but sometimes there are reasons. I've been having trouble gathering people to play myself, Twiztid actually mentioned that due to my night job I have a different play schedule and that could help attract an untapped audience, but I've played for hours almost daily and rarely see a new face (maybe only one or two so far, neither have returned to my knowledge). It gets discouraging and I know you say it takes time and determination, but I do enjoy playing the game against others, not just a bot. I play on an office server when I've tried for a good while each day to gather people on the server by sitting in it. Unfortunately the office server I play on disallows advertising or I would let them know about our server.
In conclusion, it's a shame you feel that people aren't trying and quitting a seemingly dead clan's server is the way to help the situation.

Simply put, CSS is a dying game without some major updates/content from valve. Its not the clan thats dying its the people that is loosing interest in playing the game. Twiztid does everything possible to make things interesting and new, he always has. But ou can only do so much before people just don't want to play.

Switching game mods and what not can only go so far. People that have written 75% of the mods on Matties site have not even bothered to update or fix bugs that have been present for a good year or so. But something that has always bugged me and I know bugs Twiztid is the poor respect for the servers that he makes from request of the Legion members. It really takes a huge amount of dedication to make a server go... We got lucky in the beginning with having a good group to start with from the old Ace Serv #2 gg server.
