Fuckin nvidia having shit graphics drivers for windows 7 64-bit...At first I loved W7, but I brought my computer to my friend's house last night and now when I start my computer the display driver stops responding, recovers, then goes into a blue screen loop -.- I looked up the error and it says it's because nvidia hasn't updated the graphics drivers. GF...back to XP.

Some heads up advice from a pc tech

1. Never go with a 64 bit OS as soon as it comes out. Wait til service pack 1 then go for it. (thats why I'm still running XP Pro)

2. Nvidias software coding for their drivers has been buggy since the their GeForce 9000 series therefore I use ATi. ATi is cheaper than Nvidia as well.

So, Good Luck with your endeavor with Windows 7 64 bit and Nvidia drivers. It'll work out when Service Pack comes out, but hopefully it will before then but probably won't knowing Microsquisy.

I took it to Best Buy because I couldn't launch XP after i reformatted and installed it. The dude said my graphics card or mobo died...i hope it's my mobo if anything is dead.

Nvidia > ATI

Windows Vista > Windows XP

Windows 7 > Windows XP

Never take your pc to best buy. They'll tell you whatever so they can sell you one of their pc's at the store. They're looking at getting their sales numbers higher and not customer solutions. Take it to an actual computer repair/service shop. I used to work at Best Buy years back and I quit because they'll hire any idiot who knows how to plug a pc into the wall and push the power button. I got tired of hearing bullshit excuses or reasons why we had to tell customers lies to get them to buy one of best buy's pieces of shit they call computers. You might just need to reseat your graphics card too or you might have knocked one of your caps off of your GPU or You might have fried your mobo especially if your pc was plugged or you weren't touching the metal parts of the case when you put your graphics card in cuz ppl do it all the time.

oh yea, if you restart your pc and you see the windows load up screen. You know the windows xp with the loading bar and as soon as you see it blue screens. That most likely because you don't have the sata drivers installed while you installed XP. Download the sata drivers and download nlite and intergrate the sata drivers into the XP disc and create a XP boot disc using the new sata drivers.

Every time I see you double post, I want to hunt you down and kill you.

I have a feeling the the sata driver thing was one of my problems.
I didn't fry my mobo because I installed the graphics card over 2 years ago.
I don't understand why I couldn't get my computer to boot regularly even with my onboard graphics unless my mobo died for some stupid reason...the computer is about 3 or 4 years old though.

Windows XP is the best of the operating systems now as of compatibility. Vista is good for the DirectX 10 experience, only if you have a machine badass enough to run the games you want to play stable enough. Windows 7, well, go find that out for yourself. Lets put it this way, Windows 7 RC is more stable than whats out now. I found out the other day the hard way.

Just got back from BestBuy with my computer, turns out it was a combination of gfx card and mobo failure. I guess I'll just have to make a new computer, darn. Very Happy
