There have been some complaints recently about some admins either abusing their powers, or not doing their jobs. As an admin you have a responsibility to make sure that fair game play is ensured for everyone. I will be reevaluating admin positions, and those who do not live up to expectations will lose their admin powers.

As an admin you need to use your own good judgement, but below is a list of some things you are responsible for.

Keep an eye out for people cheating, whether it be aim-botting, wall-hacking, etc. If you can tell for sure someone is hacking, permanently ban them immediately.

If someone is spamming chat, ask them to stop. If they will not stop, gimp them. If they continue, kick them, if they reconnect and continue permanently ban said player. If someone is spamming voice, ask them to stop. If they do not stop, then mute said player.

Monitor player names and player chat/voice. Swearing is alright, but continuously harassing a player is not. Words like "fag" and "nigger" are not alright, and if someone keeps using them or has them in their name in a derogative way, then ask them to change their name or to stop using the words. If the player will not comply, kick them from the server. If they rejoin and continue, permanently ban them.

Be responsible with map change powers, do not change the map to a map you want if no one else is asking for it. Do not change to a map that is known to empty out the server either, this has been an issue a couple times.

Keep an eye out for people disconnecting over and over at round end to keep their previous gun. If you notice this then warn the player to stop. If they do not stop, kick the player. If the player continues, give them a temporary ban, and inform me. I will reset their rank back to nothing.

Watch for people disconnecting to avoid being punished for a TK. If someone disconnects and reconnects to avoid their punishment, slay them.

If I think of anything else I will add it in here later, but like I said, use your own good judgement. Be mature and responsible, admin is a privilege, and can be revoked if necessary.

What if a member starts harassing other players? What are we supposed to do about them?

If a member is being particularly disrespectful to a player ask them to stop. If they refuse, bring the issue to me.

Just wanted to bump this for some of the newer admins who may not of seen this, and add that if someone breaks the rules, as Twizted said above, Its usually best to Warn them, if it continues, punish them, and if it continues further ban/kick them.

Not pointing at anyone specifically but some people like to continually punish and most likely unintentionally antagonize some people over the channels. It pushes people away and tends to look bad on Legion. Esspecially when it carries over maps and/or when people get a bit carried away with it.

I am now requiring admins to post a demo with the player's name when banning someone for hacking. This post should be made in the Ban/Appeal section of the forums. This is due to the fact that some players have been banned for hacking when they obviously weren't, and then I had to go back and unban them which is irritating and somewhat embarassing.

Other than that please refer to the above rules for admin conduct, and remember having admin powers is a privilage.

Hi dudes. My opinion is that there are many friendly admins, but however, there are many mother fuckers asshole admins too, they do admin power abuse. Do u want a list of them ??? ....

what is the politics to choose admins ??? ...... is there any ??? .... I think that the conflictive persons don't must be admins ..... so .... there are many conflictive admins now .... ("many" means two or more) ....

In order to receive admin you must be a [Legion] clan member in good standing, make a donation to the server of $20 or more, and be approved by me to receive admin. Monthly donations are not required to retain admin, however future donations are recommended at some point.

Out of curiousity, what admins do you think abuse their admin powers?

Hmm, I think that setting Pests health below 25 is admin abuse, other than that nothing comes to mind.
