So, I was promised "some downstairs action" today, due to the wife being, how should i put it, otherwise indisposed in the nether regions?

I find out we have a guest for dinner. Fine, friend of mine as well. After said friend leaves, she's on her way to sleep.

"get me up at 10:45, i got some work stuff to finish before bed". Ok, I can handle that, some time to game.

I get it, its "that time of the month". But when i go to wake my better half, i get the usual, "10 more minutes". ok cool. so 10 min later, i try again.

"MRWWWAAARRRGGGS (ie sleep talk).....FUCK OFF". Ok I say, another 5 minutes.

I come back later again, this time after attempts to wake i get "CANT YOU DO A FUCKING THING WITHOUT POKING A PRODING ME?"

Granted, my fellatio reality went out the door a long time ago, i was generally concerned about her getting her stuff done. But after that? Yeah, i get it, that time of the month, the younger folk reading this can laugh and stop reading now.

So my delima is this , a good part of me REALLY wants to hold on to the anger I have over this. We have a rule, fight all we want, but no one goes to bed angry, and we ALWAYS sleep in same bed, no one on the couch. Well, right now she's on the couch, and i am in my office, getting blindly drunk. Do I dare risk trying to wake her again?

Or do I break our creed and let her sleep out there? Granted I brought her a blanked, and the dog is sleeping with her, but I still fear the morning wrath. I love her enough that I am not beneath sleeping on the hardwood next to the couch, but what little sense of male self righteousness i have left tells me "fuck that".

Granted by the time most of you read this the drama will be over, but I suppose I am writing this as much to myself in pseudo-blog fashion as I am really asking the elder legions their opinions.

i woulda woke her up even tho she may be mad at the. time the morning appreciation for that would make up for it and a promise is a promise dont start breaking them for her sake not yet atleast...she'll appreciate your patience during her 3-6 day killing spree every month.

See you think you have two clear options:
- wake her and bring her to bed
- leave her sleeping on the couch

But that is where you are mistaken. A woman is highly unpredictable and irrational. Not to mention when they are on their period.
Basically, the best you can do at this point is mitigate the situation.
Go buy her ice cream and then hide for about 7 days

Option A: Wake her up, argue and try to smooth things over

Option B: Carry her to bed attempting to not wake her.

Option C: Sleep on the floor next to her

Option D: Be a man, drop a load on her face (and the dog's if its still there) so when she wakes up crusty she knows what she did was wrong and also who is in charge.

I totally vote for option D. That dog would never know what hit him/her.
