If you put the amount of money you pay for a mac into a windows machine, it would kick the shit out of a mac no problem.
If you compare a floor-model mac vs floor-model pc, yes the mac is better.
But, take the extra $1000 and upgrade all the hardware, and guess what, the pc is much better.
Macs are marketed towards the average computer user that goes on Facebook, iTunes, and Twitter. None of which require any CPU, RAM, graphics, etc. So why pay all that money?
